Santa Barbara Spa is a family-owned day spa in the San Roque neighborhood of Santa Barbara, California, specializing in customized facials, waxing, sugaring, spray tanning, brow and lash services, and professional skincare. Founded in 2015 by Santa Barbara native and licensed esthetician Shelby McKaig-Rowe, our spa combines personalized treatments with a welcoming boutique experience for clients throughout Santa Barbara and the surrounding area.

Shelby McKaig-Rowe — Owner & Lead Esthetician

Hi my name is Shelby Mckaig-Rowe. I was born and raised in Santa Barbara and now am raising my 2 children here as well. I became an esthetician in 2008 when I was just 19 years old. Since then I have worked at some of the top salons and spas growing my clientele and perfecting my craft. Shortly after I had my first child I started to really long for a place I could call my own so I took a leap of faith and opened Santa Barbara Spa in 2015. Since then we’ve been blessed to have grown and expand bringing my husband on board as well as my mother in law, Lisa Velasquez-Crabtree. Servicing Santa Barbara has brought me such joy and accomplishment being apart of the local economy and community I was raised in. I’m so grateful to my clients and the relationships we have built throughout the years. Cheers to you!

Hi, I’m Lisa! Born and raised in beautiful Santa Barbara, I’m deeply connected to this amazing community. I’m happily married and a proud mom to a daughter and a son, both of whom are married and have blessed me with four wonderful grandchildren. Being a Nana is truly the best!

As a Santa Barbara local, I’ve always loved the perfect blend of mountains and beaches that make this place so special. In my free time, you’ll find me enjoying outdoor activities like walking, biking, and camping, or soaking up the sun at the beach. I’m also passionate about cooking and hosting BBQs with family and friends—it’s all about creating those unforgettable moments together.

I’m also deeply passionate about being an esthetician. Helping people feel confident and radiant in their skin brings me so much joy. I love sharing my skincare expertise to help you achieve your healthiest, most glowing complexion. There’s nothing better than seeing someone leave feeling fabulous and refreshed!

Shelby was the sweetest, kindly walked me through everything I needed to know for maintenance and tricks to keep spray tan lasting as long as possible, I was in and out in 15 minutes and my spray tan is PERFECT!
